Rep. Bill Owens, on where he and his wife stayed during a four-day trip to Taiwan (his room averaged $520 per night). As we reported, lobbyists for Taiwan coordinated the $22,132 trip, despite House rules prohibiting members from taking trips arranged by lobbyists. After our story was published, Owens said he will reimburse a Taiwan university for the costs.
